Plain version: month to month, no contract, and there are some things about internet phone service you genuinely need to know.
Service is provided month to month. There is no minimum term and no early termination fee. Either side can end it with reasonable notice. Rates are per line per month as published, plus applicable taxes and regulatory fees.
Telephone service carries taxes and federal regulatory charges, including Universal Service Fund contributions, which are set by the government and change quarterly. These appear separately on your invoice. They are not our margin and we do not keep them.
Internet-based phone service handles emergency calls differently from traditional copper lines, and there are real limitations you should understand:
We register E911 for every line and configure direct 911 dialing and notification in line with Kari's Law and RAY BAUM'S Act. Where a system serves multiple floors, suites or buildings, dispatchable location must be mapped per device, and we will do that work with you.
Elevator emergency phones, fire alarm panels, alarm dialers and similar life-safety circuits are governed by codes and standards outside the scope of ordinary phone service. They must not be assumed to work over internet-based service without specific engineering. We will tell you plainly what can and cannot be moved.
We port numbers at no charge. Timelines are controlled by the carrier releasing them and are outside our control. Your existing service must remain active until a port completes. Numbers you port in remain yours, and we will release them if you leave.
No unlawful use, no harassment, no fraudulent traffic, and no unlawful robocalling or caller ID spoofing. Accounts generating traffic that violates telecommunications law will be suspended. Unlimited calling means normal business use, not resale or auto-dialing.
We publish a 99.9% uptime target and respond to critical issues within two hours during business hours, same day otherwise. Fully managed accounts get priority response. We do not control your internet connection, and outages upstream of our network are outside what we can promise.
Handsets purchased from us are yours. Equipment provided on loan remains ours and should be returned if service ends. Existing compatible handsets can be used and we will tell you honestly whether yours are.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the service charges for the affected period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business resulting from an outage. This is standard for telecommunications service and we would rather say it plainly than bury it.
